Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Populações Pesqueiras e Desenvolvimento no Espírito Santo (GEPPEDES; Academic Research Group on Fishing Populations and Development in the state of Espírito Santo) is an academic research group of the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, in Brazil.
Vidas de Rio e de Mar: Pesca, Desenvolvimentismo e Ambientalização (River and Sea Lives: Fishing, Developmentalism and Environmentalization) shares the stories of people affected by the consequences of an economic policy based on large-scale extractivism, directed towards the exportation of commodities and its logistics systems, all highly damaging to the environment and its most diverse entities.
This book contains photographs taken by me, as well as an academic article that I co-wrote it.
